Document Description
The project proposes to implement Class IV bikeways (cycle track) on each side of Yale Avenue within the current Right-of-Way in the project area. Raised curb or landscaped buffers will be installed between vehicle and bike lanes, and bicycle crosswalks and signal phases will be added at the intersection of Yale Avenue and University Drive to reduce stress and improve comfort for bicyclists. The project seeks to improve sustainable multi-modal mobility and access along Yale Avenue, provide more comfortable cycling experience for bicyclists in different age groups, and to address City's goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, diversifying mobility options, and improving safety.
