Document Description
The Leggett Fire Water component is a community-driven project to install one 70,000-gallon tank in Tan Oak Park to enable the community to respond to wildfire quickly. This tank will be filled with well water. A fire hydrant will connected to the water tank and be installed next to the driveway for rapid access for fire response personnel.

The proposed project is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15304, as the project involves installation of one 70,000-gallon tank in Tan Oak Park to enable the community to respond to wildfire quickly during low-flow months. This tank will be filled with well water. The proposed activities will not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface waters. Furthermore, none of the exceptions to the exemptions apply to the project as the location is not in a sensitive environment, and it will not lead to a cumulative or significant effect.
