Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to ensure that VTA bus stops, especially the slope and ramp of the stop, meets ADA standards. The Project is needed because wheelchair boarding requires 8 feet by 5 feet of sidewalk pad at the identified stops in the City of San Jose. These locations do not currently have adequate sidewalk space to meet this requirement. The Project includes upgrade to twenty bus stops in the City of San Jose along with curb installation, bus stop sign relocations, and curb painting.
