Document Description
San Joaquin Field Division plans to repair a leaking pipeline. The leak is located on the side of a hill and the pipeline connects a water tank to the Edmonston Pumping Plant (EDPP). To reach the leak, ATVs will be driven on old access roads. Access roads are overgrown. A drive and crush method would be used to deal with the vegetation. Once crews reach the site, they will hand dig and expose the leaking section of the pipe. Then, mechanic will examine the leak and repair the pipe, either by using a clamp or by replacing the leaking section with a new section of pipe. Once fixed, the pipe would be reburied. This work is necessary to maintain a constant water supply to EDPP. All work will be completed within the DWR right of way. This work is estimated to last one to two weeks.
