Document Description
The California Department of Transportation, District 4 Maintenance Division is conducting environmental studies proposing to repair significant longitudinal cracking and differential pavement settlement along the east-bound traveled way located on SR 152 (Pacheco Pass Highway) in Hollister, postmile 32.8 in Santa Clara County. The cause of the settlement is partially due to secondary foundation settlement and primary settlement within the embankment fill along with over-saturated soils that caused the collapse. Work includes injecting expanded high density polyurethane material (EHDPM) foam into the affected area of the traveled way to return it to its original vertical curvature and performing grind and cold-plane AC pavement (HMA-Type A) and re-striping at both east-bound lanes and shoulder. All Work is within Caltrans Right Of Way.
