Document Description
This project proposes to install Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) for law enforcement use throughout San Diego Coast District including Carlsbad State Beach, South Carlsbad State Beach, San Elijo State Beach, Cardiff State Beach, Torrey Pines State Beach, Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, and Silver Strand State Beach. The cameras are Flock Safety Falcon model license plate recognition cameras. Approximately 15 cameras will be installed in various locations throughout the District. Flock installs, maintains and services the cameras and related equipment. These Flock cameras will enable State Park Peace Officers (SPPOs) to have important real-time law enforcement information through an app on their state issued cell phone as well as email alerts.
