Document Description
The Yuba County Public Works Department, in cooperation with Caltrans, is requesting an Environmental Assessment to replace the existing Ellis Road Bridge over Simmerly Slough (State Bridge No. 56C-0020) for Federal Project Number: BRLO-5916(131). The new bridge will be a single-span, cast-in-place slab structure, measuring 51 feet in length and 24 feet in width. The design will comply with current American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards and Yuba County requirements. The project is expected to involve minor grading of the streambed immediately adjacent to the bridge, with rock slope protection installed to safeguard the bridge embankments. The purpose of this project is to provide a structure that meets current design standards, enhancing both safety and operational efficiency. The project site is located on Ellis Road, approximately 2 miles north of Marysville and 0.2 miles east of Highway 70, in an agricultural area of Yuba County, California.
