The project is located from post mile 25.7 to post mile 34.4, on Highway 1 in Morro Bay and Cayucos, in San Luis Obispo County. Project work will include but is not limited to the following: grinding and overlaying pavement, upgrading lighting, replacing and constructing ADA compliant curb ramps and some sidewalk, updating guardrail (including post replacement), replacing median thrie beam, replacing signal detection loops in pavement, widening right turn pockets to add bike lanes at three intersections, replacing approximately 17 signs (post and panels), and replacing right-of-way fencing. Roadway improvement details will continue to be worked out as the project progresses.
