To authorize the existing pump and platform structure; a 2-inch steel electrical conduit and utility box; a 3/8-inch-thick, 14-inch diameter steel pipe exposed on the toe of waterside; a 36-inch coated corrugated metal pipe riser with positive closure device and anti-siphon device; a 36-inch landslide coated corrugated metal pipe riser; a 12-inch outer diameter steel pipe through the levee crown, upsize to 14 inches on waterside; a 48-inch corrugated metal pipe riser and positive closure device; and a 48-inch diameter sump with concrete base as described in the As-Constructed Drawings No. 07-04-1554 and Supplement to Standard Operation and Maintenance Manual Lower San Joaquin, River and Tributaries Project, California Unit No.9, 1964.

The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1, Existing Facilities categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301), because the activity consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use. No expansion of existing or former use will occur. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
