Document Description
Prospect Silicon Valley is installing a high efficiency low temperature and medium temperature refrigeration system through a new hybrid booster system that will interface with a custom evaporator that use heat reclaim from the refrigeration cycle to defrost for little to no energy. Straus Family Creamery located in Petaluma CA, will install a 60-ton refrigeration system with thermal energy storage and advanced controls at multiple cold storage sites with a total of 2,638 square feet of separate refrigerated space: a hardening room (-30F, 840 sq ft), a finished goods cooler (35F, 1305 sq ft), and an ingredient cooler (35F, 493 sq ft).

Code 15301: Existing Facilities because the project involves upgrading an existing facility's refrigerant system with an updated refrigerant system with a similar cooling capacity. The new system will take up less space and does not involve adding additional square footage to the facility. The updated refrigeration system uses less power and will not result in an additional electrical load.
