The City of Anaheim proposes to commit approximately $6.9M in funding and enter
into an Option to Ground Lease Agreement for the development of 120 S. State College Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92805 ("Property") for the purpose of converting the Tampico Motel to an affordable housing development consisting of 32 rental units for young adults ages 18 to 24 that are exiting the foster care system or are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

As the "lead agency'' under the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Recourses Code Section 21000, et seq.; herein referred to as "CEQA"), the City Council and Governing Board of the Anaheim Housing Authority reviewed the environmental impacts of the proposed motel conversion pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. "CEQA") and the regulations promulgated thereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the "CEQA Guidelines"). Pursuant to Government Code Sections 65650 to 65656, the proposed Project is a "by-right" development for supportive housing, includes
ministerial actions, and thereby is not a "project" under the California Environmental Quality Act and implementing Guidelines.
