The proposed Project consists of the transfer of the property rights on approximately 0.28 acres of vacant property from the City of Los Angeles Department of General Services (GSD) to the Department of
Recreation and Parks (RAP) with the objective of establishing a park. Currently, the space is used as a community garden after its establishment in 1981 and has provided a green space for a community of about 15,652 residents, where children and adults have been able to learn about the importance of neighborhood supported agriculture. Beneficiaries are patrons of the Community Garden.
