Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 2; California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15302
Reasons for Exemption
An existing utility facility (water storage tank) will be replaced with a new tank on the same site for the same purpose. The project would increase total water storage capacity by 10% but would not increase MCSD's water service area, water supply commitment, or water volume provided. It merely increases water storage volume to meet current engineering standards. No exceptions under CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply.
