The overall project goals of the 22-acre project are to remove one mile of hazardous fencing and replace with a wildlife friendly design along a known elk corridor; develop 18 low-flow wildlife-friendly and protected springs for better grazing management for habitat improvement purposes; and collect and plant black and white oak acorns as well as cage existing seedlings experiencing browse from local deer and elk over a 12-acre area to help regeneration of oak woodlands.
