Document Description
The project is a request to establish, construct, and operate a battery energy storage system (BESS) adjacent to the existing PG&E Wilson substation for an expected operational period of 30 years. The project involves installation of approximately 315 containers with approximately 40 battery modules each and interconnection equipment. The project site is located on the northside of Canyon Road, approximately 0.75 miles west of Interstate-5 (I-5) in the Los Banos area, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 088-020-039. The project site is located on the east side of North Tower Road, approximately 450 feet north of East Childs Avenue in the Merced area, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 061-033-018. The project site is designated Agricultural land use in the General Plan and is zoned A-1 (General Agricultural).
