Document Description
This project will replace the current double CXT unit on Shell Reef, which was damaged in a vehicle collision. The contractor will demolish the top portion of the restroom in place by jackhammering it with heavy equipment. Around the existing vault, excavation will occur on approximately 4ft around three sides of the unit to remove it. On the fourth side, there is an accessible concrete parking pad, which will be cut and remain in place. An area of approximately 9ft wide by 10ft long by 5.5ft deep will be excavated to remove the vault. Demolished and excavated materials will be hauled away in a dump truck and properly disposed of. A replacement CXT, which is the same size, will be transported to the location by crane and set in place over the existing footprint. District standard project requirements, which are attached, are to be incorporated into project implementation.
