The new structure will be a pre-engineered metal building, approximately 1,400 square feet, on concrete slab constructed at the California Raptor Center at UC Davis South Campus. Reasons for Exemption
The construction of a new, small structure qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 3 of the Guideline for the implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or struc1ures. This exemption also includes water main, sewage, electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, or reasonable length to serve such construction. The project site is not on a list complied pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code (Cortese List). In addition, none of the ether exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
