Document Description
Caltrans District 9 is proposing to re-stripe the roadway on U.S. Route 395 in the town of Walker to provide a uniform striping pattern throughout the length of the project. The purpose of the project is to provide a buffer between vehicular traffic and bicycle traffic and improve overall safety within the project limits. State Route 395 through the project limits serves as the main street through the town of Walker. Currently, there is no striped bike lane in the existing paved shoulder.
