The Port of Long Beach (Port) Chief Executive Officer executed License Agreement No. N6247324RP00111 with the U.S. Department of the Navy (Navy) for maintenance work on approximately 19,260 square feet of land and sewer lift station #136 located at the existing Navy-owned Defense Fuel Support marine terminal at Pier T in the Port. Maintenance work on Sewer Lift Station #136 would include replacement of pumps, refurbishing of the wet well including a new liner, and a new electrical panel and will be performed by the Port under Harbor Development Permit 24-019.

The project consists of maintenance work including replacement of pumps, refurbishing of the wet well including a new liner, and a new electrical panel on the existing Sewer Lift Station #136 involving no expansion of existing or former use. The Port has determined that none of the exceptions to the exemptions in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15300.2 foreclose the use of the categorical exemption CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities); therefore, the Project is exempt from CEQA and no further environmental review is required.
