The project involves repairs to an existing wet well interior wall involving no expansion of existing or former use. The Port has determined that none of the exceptions to the exemptions in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15300.2 foreclose the use of Categorical Exemption CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities); therefore the Project is exempt from CEQA and no further environmental review is required

Section 15202 Replacement or Reconstruction (Class 2): The Class 2 Categorical Exemption consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. The new replacement pumps and electrical panel will be located on the same site as the structures replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity. All equipment that is removed from the site will be disposed of in a manner that meets all federal, state and local environmental and regulatory requirements. The Port has determined that none of the exceptions to the exemptions in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15300.2 foreclose the use of Categorical Exemption CEQA Guidelines Section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction); therefore the Project is exempt from CEQA and no further environmental review is required.
