The Proposed Project would upgrade onsite substations; install a battery energy storage system and electric vehicle chargers; construct a Reefer Storage area and install reefer racks and plug-ins; remove, replace, and feather pavement; construct a bioretention swale; remove and install perimeter fencing; and replace high mast lighting with light-emitting diode bulbs. The purpose of the Proposed Project is to support a more efficient operation and continue progress towards meeting the Port's zero emissions goals and build resiliency to the Port's electrical infrastructure.
