Document Description
The proposed project consists of granting a special use permit to Lesh Productions, LLC for the Sunday Daydreams Volume 3 at all McNears Beach Park reservable sites and all available parking spaces. The event would occur on July 21, 2024 between 11AM and 7PM. Set-up and take down would take approximately one day on July 20, 2024. Approximately 2,500 participants are anticipated. The event would include amplified sound. The event would include the presale of tickets for site entry, the sale of food, drink, or merchandise, and would include amenities set up outside of reservable group sites.

The project consists of issuing a special event permit at an existing facility for a public gathering. McNears Beach Park was designed with reservable space for this type of event and there is a past history of the facility being used for this purpose. There is a reasonable expectation that this event would not represent a change in the operation of the facility and that the event would not result in cumulative impacts; significant impacts on the environment due to unusual circumstances; affect the significance of historical resources. The project is not located within an officially designated scenic highway or on a hazardous waste site pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5.
