Document Description
The proposed project consists of granting a special use permit to National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) for a 5K walk at the Tam Field reservable site and approximately 50 parking spaces. The event would occur on October 05, 2024, between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Set-up would occur beginning at 7:00am and take down would occur until approximately 2:00pm. Approximately 150 participants are anticipated. The event would include amplified sound.

McInnis Park was designed with reservable space for this type of event and there is a history of this facility being used for this purpose. There is a reasonable expectation that this event would not represent a change in the operation of the facility and that the event would not result in cumulative impacts; significant impacts on the environment due to unusual circumstances; affect the significance of historical resources. The event area is not located within an officially designated scenic highway or on a hazardous waste site pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5.
