Document Description
The proposed project consists of granting a special use permit for the LGC Biosearch Company BBQ the Stafford Lake Park Areas 1 and 2 reservable sites and approximately 300 parking spaces. The event would occur on July 19, 2024, between 12:00 – 3:30pm. Set-up would occur beginning at 10:00am and take down would occur until approximately 5:00pm. Approximately 500 participants are anticipated. The event would include amplified sound, a BBQ catering vendor, beer and wine (not for sale), bounce house for children, games including inflatable obstacle courses, kickball, lawn games, and tug-of-war.

The proposed project consists of issuing a special event permit at an existing facility for a private event. Stafford Lake Park was designed with reservable space for this type of event and there is a history of this facility being used for this purpose. There is a reasonable expectation that this event would not represent a change in the operation of the facility and that the event would not result in cumulative impacts; significant impacts on the environment due to unusual circumstances; affect the significance of historical resources. The event area is not located within an officially designated scenic highway or on a hazardous waste site pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5.
