Document Description
The project will include design and construction improvements to the existing San Quentin Rehabilitation Center infrastructure. The project will include the demolition of the existing Upper Yard paving, Individual Exercise Yards, yard fencing, and disconnecting existing utilities. Additionally, this project will include design and construction of an open area that includes accessible walkways, support infrastructure, utilities, lighting, and seating to provide recreational and programing areas. The canopy will remain to provide shade and weather protection. The water cannon and guard posts, within the canopy, are planned to be removed. The catwalks and large utilities conduits are to remain. The project will not impact the overall historical integrity of the Upper Yard. All work will occur within previously disturbed, developed areas that are not environmentally significant.
