Document Description
Zone 7 will install two telemetered pressure transducer probes and telemeter equipment near the Sinbad creek and Arroyo de la Laguna confluence. The stage gauge telemeter equipment will be installed within the Sunol Glen school’s right of way to allow real-time stage monitoring for early storm water flooding within the flood prone area. This telemeter station is beneficial for both Zone 7 water agency and the Sunol Glen School to: 1) Better understanding of hydrology of Arroyo de la Laguna (ADLL) near Sunol Glen Elementary 2) Better understanding of hydrology of Sinbad Creek, a tributary feeding ADLL 3) Improve early flood warning notification for Sunol Glen Elementary 4) Fill telemetered stream data gaps at ADLL during a temporary removal of a downstream station stream gauge to coordinate with Caltrans bridge replacement project on Hwy 84 at Sunol. The overall footprint of this project is very small with negligible to no impacts to the riparian corridor or to channel hydrology.
