Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project will consist of an existing cannabis cultivation operation located at 940 Wildwood Road (APN 019-260-42-00) near the community of Wildwood in Trinity County. The project is on a 23.14-acre parcel zoned as Agricultural Forest (20 acre minimum). Cultivation activities include 10,000 square feet (sf) of permitted cannabis cultivation, propagation of seed stock and drying of harvested cannabis plants. There is no trimming or packaging onsite. Associated cannabis support buildings and infrastructure include a permitted 30-foot by 80-foot (2400 sf) steel (concrete floor) metal building used for drying, seed propagation (200 sf), and product storage, an 8-foot by 20-foot steel shipping container (160 sf) used for agricultural chemical storage, an 8-foot by 20-foot steel shipping container (160 sf) used for administrative hold, a 7,980 sf immature plant area, a 10-foot by 10-foot (100 sf) compost area, four (4) 2,500 gallon water tanks (combined area is 200 sf), and a gravity fed, pressurized drip irrigation system. There is no trimming or packaging of product onsite. The direct footprint of the cultivation and infrastructure results in approximately 21,000 sf.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
