Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project will consist of cultivation up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of outdoor cannabis canopy. The existing project currently includes 3,752 square feet (sf) of outdoor mature and immature cannabis cultivation. There are currently no proposed development activities. The existing project includes 2,752 sf of mature outdoor cannabis cultivation grown in raised beds and 1,000 sf of immature plant growth for a total of 3,752 sf mature outdoor and immature cannabis cultivation. Existing cannabis support infrastructure totals approximately 1,800 sf, with a storage area/shop for nutrients, pesticides, administrative hold area, and drying and processing space. There is an 800-sf residence on the property, and water for commercial and residential use is provided by a permitted existing groundwater well.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
