Document Description
Repair a damaged down drain that was separated and failed due to recent rain events in Contra Costa County, SR 80, postmile 6.15/6.25 in the City of Richmond. Work includes traffic control, temporary railing Type K, imported borrow for fill of displaced soil, 24” CMP Down Drain with Anchor Assembly, regrade unlined ditch, cleaning and inspecting drainage system and permanent Erosion Control. Future rain event will likely flood the residential backyards, create damages to property and worsen the slope erosion. If repair is not done immediately, further failures will developed that will increase both in size and severity.

(d) Restoration or rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged structures, facilities, or mechanical equipment to meet current standards of public health and safety, unless it is determined that the damage was substantial and resulted from an environmental hazard such as earthquake, landslide, or flood.
