Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Cannabis Distribution License submitted on 12/01/2018 by Manual Semerdjian. The Project will consist of a cannabis business with retail, cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution activities within two existing buildings. It is located at 68416 Perez Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234. The APN is 687-321-012. The lot area is about 21,780 SF. The larger 6700 SF building will have cultivation and manufacturing activities while the smaller 2663 SF building will have retail and distribution operations. The buildings are approximately 9373 SF. 1437 SF will be for retail, 1907 SF for manufacturing, 549 SF for distribution, 3216 SF for cultivation and the remaining 2264 SF for ancillary space.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption Project.
Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. The Project involves the use of an existing industrial building with no proposal for building expansion. The design, location, size, and operating characteristics of the Project are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the vicinity as it is zoned light industrial zoned. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
