Document Description
The overall project goals of the 1.23-acre project are to enhance pollinator habitat by providing food resources to pollinators and restoring wet meadows to be used by a variety of plant and animal species. Native grasses, shrubs, and forbs will also provide habitat for species of mammals, birds, and insects. A demonstrative garden with signage will also be implemented on the property. Irrigation for establishment will also be installed on the property. Activities will include seeding and planting native plants for pollinators, installing irrigation for native plantings as needed, irrigation may include above- and/or below ground systems, installing, replacing, and maintaining fencing and education signs, as needed, removing/controlling invasive plant species using manual methods, controlling invasive plant species as needed via minimal tillage and solarization, conducting surveys and monitoring of wildlife and habitat restoration sites

At less than five acres, this project also is exempt under CCR Section 15333 (Small Habitat Restoration Projects).
