Document Description
Westlands Water District requests encroachment permission to repair a damaged fence at their turnout in the DWR right of way at MP 120.77L. They will detach the damaged galvanized steel fence post from the fencing and will use a backhoe to remove the post from the ground. A post hole augur will dig an approximate 2-foot by 2-foot by 2-foot hole in the same location as the removed post. Concrete will be poured into the hole to act as a footing, and a new galvanized steel post will be installed into the concrete. The new post will be attached to the fencing, and soil will be poured into the hole, over the concrete, until the hole is filled and flush with the ground. A compacting plate will then be used to compact the soil. The repair is necessary to maintain the security of the equipment within the fenced area; WWD will benefit from this work.
