Document Description
The project will involve the installation of two 28" by 20” squash culverts under the southbound alignment. The existing creek bed on the inlet, or western, side of the culverts will be graded, up to the culvert entrance. A portion of the highway median on the outlet side will be graded as well, to facilitate flow to the existing culverts in the northbound alignment. The inlet and outlet sides of the culverts will be equipped with flared end sections (FES). This work will involve excavating the existing roadway to install the culverts and backfilling/paving over them. It will also include clearing and grubbing of 1600ft² of the existing Talus Canyon creek bed, and 800ft² of the highway median to grade the channel to the new culverts
