Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project is the continuation of existing cultivation activities. It includes the cultivation of 9,615 square feet of mixed-light mature canopy that includes 4,944 square feet of existing cultivation and 4,671 square feet of proposed cultivation. The project proposes additional support infrastructure including two (2) 500-gal mixing tanks, two (2) 10’x16’ shade structures and one (1) 2,500-gallon water storage tank. The project proposes to remove four (4) existing structures. Water for the project would be provided by community services district and an onsite septic system and self-contained portable systems would serve the project’s wastewater needs.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
