Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15302
Reasons for Exemption
The Project has been reviewed pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and has been determined to be Categorically Exempt from the CEQA Guidelines per section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction). This exemption includes the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose. No significant environmental impacts are expected from the development of this project as it is the replacement and reconstruction of an existing public restroom in the same location, involving a negligible expansion of capacity. No exception to this categorical exemption applies as set forth in section 15300.2 of the CEQA Guidelines, including, but not limited to, subsection (c) which relates to unusual circumstances that could have a significant effect on the environment.
