Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project consists of installing one monitoring well for the purpose of basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. Although the location is not yet determined it is the MWA’s intent to purchase property to install the new well on disturbed land outside of the flowpath of the Mojave River and maintain a small footprint that would not cause a major disturbance to environmental resources.
