Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year (July 1, 2024), the Lakeport Unified School District (“District”) will reconfigure Terrace Middle School from a grade 4-8 school to a grade 5-8 school. The 4th grade classes currently located at Terrace Middle School will be moved next door to Lakeport Elementary School, which as a result of this move will reconfigure from a TK-3 school to a TK-4 school.

The proposed project consists of one grade, the 4th grade, from Terrace Middle School next door to Lakeport Elementary School effective July 1, 2024. The proposed project will not increase student capacity by more than 25% or 10 classrooms at Lakeport Elementary School in accordance with CEQA Exemption 15314 and Public Resources Code section 21080.18. The project is not subject to any of the exceptions to exemption set forth in CEQA Guidelines section 15300.2.
