Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number LAK-49195-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Nora Jesch. The project is limited to the foundation replacement of an existing cabin adjacent to Big Canyon Creek. The existing wooden pier and post cabin foundation will be replaced with concrete footing and sonatube foundations. The new cast in place concrete foundation deck will be approximately 20-feet long by 20-feet wide. The new foundation will be supported by 5 new sonotube pillars fixed on top of concrete pedestals on the streamside of the structure. Each new pillar will be approximately 5-feet long fixed on top of individual 2-foot by 2-foot concrete footings/pedestals. Approximately, 20 cubic feet of material will be excavated to install the pedestals. All material removed from the existing structure will be collected and deposited offsite. No in-stream work will be required for the installation of the above mentioned activities, construction activity will occur above the water level of the creek.
