Improvements to two existing tank sites to include 1)Young Tank: replace the interior and exterior coatings, install safety railings, climb bar and seismic improvements to overflow; and 2) Our Peak Tank: replace two leaking redwood tanks with two new steel tanks, improve foundations to meet seismic requirements, connect new tanks to existing distribution system. Improvements are necessary to continue reliable water service in RRCWD pressure zones.

The project replaces the leaking Our Peak tanks and replaces the Young Tank interior and exterior coatings on the existing tank. Both occur at the existing tank sites and have substantially the same capacity and purpose. The project does not expand use and will reduce system losses to leaks. None of the exceptions contained in Section 15300.2 are present.
