Document Description
The Project is limited to dredging mud of the Larkspur Marina using a barge mounted clamshell dredge or excavator, which will then be immediately loaded into scows or barges and disposed of at sites approved by the Dredged Material Management Office. The design dredging depth of channels is -5 feet mean lower low water (MLLW), plus a 2-foot overdredge allowance and the design dredging depth of berthing areas is -3 feet MLLW, plus a 2-foot overdredge allowance, however portions of the dredge area may be dredged to shallower depths based on budget and area use. In total, approximately 9 acres and 6,100 linear feet will be dredged to remove approximately 150,000 cubic yards (cy) of accumulated sediment. The first dredging event in 2024 will remove up to 40,000 cy of sediment. Future dredging events will be one major dredge episode of up to 60,000 cy and one or two minor episodes of up to 20,000 to 40,000 cy.
