Reasons for Exemption
The City prepared a Categorical Exemption (CE) Report to evaluate the project’s consistency with the requirements of Class 1, Section 15301 (Existing Facility Projects). The report concluded that the project is eligible for an Existing Facility Project. The project is consistent with the existing land use and regulations, is located within the City and does not contain sensitive species or habitat, would not create significant environmental impacts with respect to traffic, noise, air quality or water quality, and is adequately served by all required utilities and public services. In addition, none of the exemptions to the exemptions identified in CEQA Guidelines 15300.2 are present.
