Document Description
The project is limited to preparation and maintenance of the seasonal parking lot and installation of seasonal beach amenities between May 1 and June 15. The parking lot will be winterized and beach amenities removed between October 1 and October 31 each year. Spring Work (May 1- June 15) ? Installation of a 4-foot wide, up to 270-foot long panelized boardwalk system from the lower parking area to the edge of the Russian River. The boardwalk will be set directly upon the ground utilizing the existing sloped beach gravel surface. The ground under the panels will be leveled and stabilized using hand tools. ? Installation of a temporary mobile concession stand located in the lower parking lot area above the ordinary high-water mark. ? Installation of a temporary tent to cover the picnic area. ? Approximately 30-cubic-yards of material will be excavated during installation of the temporary mobile concession stand. Fall Work (October 1 to October 31) ? Restoration of the beach to pre-project conditions to the maximum extent possible ? Removal of seasonal amenities including concessions, boardwalk, and tents. ? Parking lot berm will be stabilized using biodegradable BMPs. An annual report will be submitted to agencies detailing permit compliance activities. The project will result in approximately 1,880 square feet of temporary impact to floodplain habitat, which will be restored to pre-project conditions every year during the Fall Work period described above. The project will not remove any trees or vegetation. Access and staging will occur via existing roads and parking lots.
