Document Description
The Applicant proposes to construct a new public water system that will serve Gold Arrow Camp and replace its current water supply from a system across the road. It needs a new reliable water source and supply that will meet the needs of the youth camp in the long term for drinking water and fire preparedness. The system will consist of a 27 gallon per minute groundwater well, water pump, and three 15,000-gallon water storage tanks near highway 168 in Fresno County. The water tanks will be housed in a 588 square-foot concrete pad. Aboveground waterline will be installed to connect the well to the tanks. The United States Forest Service prepared a categorical exclusion for the Project.
