Document Description
The El Dorado Irrigation District (District) proposes to adopt the 2024 Water and
Recycled Water Master Plan (Master Plan), which identifies water and recycled water system capital improvement needs through the 2045 planning horizon. The Master Plan identifies transmission, storage, and treatment system deficiencies and recommends improvements to serve existing customers and continued additional connections from new development approved by El Dorado County. The Master Plan evaluates EID's potable and recycled water systems and provides a planning level evaluation of possible future capital improvement projects that may be needed through the 2045 planning horizon. The Master Plan also evaluates infrastructure capacity improvements for an estimated buildout demand condition since the useful service life of new infrastructure will extend beyond 2045. The scope of the Master Plan is limited to a planning study for possible future actions which the EID Board of Directors has not approved, adopted, or funded. Additionally, adoption of the Master Plan will not have a legally binding effect on later activities.
