Numerous households in the Acres rely on private wells that are contaminated with nitrate and uranium and don't have potable water. This project will extend approximately 4,400 linear feet of water lines from existing RMWD water lines, install approximately 31 water services, backflow preventers, and one pressure reducing station to provide potable water.

The project involves extending potable water lines totaling less than a mile long from RMWD's existing water lines. Most of the residences that will benefit are existing customers.
