Document Description
The Rancho Navarro component at the Fire House seeks to improve water security and wildfire preparedness in the Rancho Navarro subdivision within the Navarro watershed. Six to eight 5,000-gallon rainwater catchment tanks will be installed at the Rancho Navarro firehouse along with tank pads, conveyance, and necessary hardware to allow emergency response crews access to water for fire suppression activities.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15304 (Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land) as the project involves installation of gravel pads for 6-8 water storage tanks on a site that has already been developed as a driveway. The proposed activities will not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface waters. Furthermore, none of the exceptions to the exemptions (CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2) apply to the project as the project location is not in a sensitive environment. and the project will not lead to a cumulative or significant effect.
