Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes bridge maintenance on eleven (11) bridges in San Joaquin County on State Route 99 and I-5, at various postmiles. Depending on each bridge condition, this project proposes to include patching spalls, rail repair, removing existing chipseal, placing methacrylate treatment, placing polyester concrete overlay on the existing bridge deck and approach slabs, constructing new approach slabs, replacing compression seals and replace joint seals. The purpose of this project is to provide preventative maintenance to deteriorating sections of these bridges. The project is needed to minimize future rehabilitation needs and maintain the bridge functionality. All work will occur within Caltrans Right of Way.
