Document Description
This project will improve security along the District's Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (RWTF) perimeter. The Project consists of the replacement of the existing fence with an 8-feet tall vinyl coated fence along the south, west, and north borders of the RWTF. It will also include screening landscaping where space permits. Fencing and landscaping along the eastern border of the RWTF was completed in conjunction with the construction of the fourth digester in 2019. See Attachment 1 for additional information.

This project will improve security along the District's Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (RWTF) perimeter. The Project consists of the replacement of the existing fence with an 8-feet tall vinyl coated fence along the south, west, and north borders of the RWTF. These improvements will not constitute an expansion of the existing use and will have substantially the same purpose as the existing fencing. The project, therefore, is exempt from CEQA since it falls within one or more of the following categorical exemptions allowed under the CEQA guidelines: Class 1 under §15301 (Existing Facilities) and Class 2 under §15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction).
