Document Description
The Project consists of the replacement of the sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facilities at the District's Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. The planned hypochlorite facility project will include a chemical storage area, a designated area to house chemical metering equipment, and a new electrical room to power the facility. The existing sodium hypochlorite building will be demolished after construction and startup of the new sodium hypochlorite facilities.

Reasons for Exemption
The Project consists of the replacement of the sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facilities at the Dublin San Ramon Services District’s Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. These improvements will not constitute an expansion of the existing use and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the existing sodium hypochlorite facilities. The project, therefore, is exempt from CEQA since it falls within one or more of the following categorical exemptions allowed under the CEQA guidelines: Class 1 under §15301 (Existing Facilities) and Class 2 under §15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction).
