Document Description
The purpose of this project is to extend the agreement between RAP and LA Compost to have LA Compost in charge of operation and maintenance for the premise for a five year term. LA Compost is a community-powered nonprofit organization with a mission to connect the people of Los Angeles to the soil and each other through community-scale composting infrastructure and educational programs. The compost hub in Griffith Park has served as a place to turn food scraps into compost, which is then redistributed to the community and used throughout Griffith Park. Beneficiaries are community members who will use this compost and beneficiaries of the park who get to enjoy a greener space due to this compost.
